Dr Maria Koletsis a Postdoctoral researcher (Dpt of Psychology, Panteion University) with a specialinterest on “Radicalization on the internet: An evolutionary driven socio-psychological perspective on virtual political communities”. She holds a B.Sc. in Psychology (Panteion University) and a MSc inOrganizational and Economic Psychology (Panteion University). Her Phd thesis is on grounded theory research methodology for the analysis of complex social phenomena with a special focus on terrorism and political violence. She has participated in national and european research projects on internet culture, virtual political communities, migration and she has contributed in several articles and presentations. Research interests include mainly cyber-psychology, social psychology on cyberspace, grounded theory, qualitative research methods, social computing, critical theory.
